Exhaustion has set in..
My little escapade into heartburn land early this morning was not fun. I ended up getting into bed around 4:30am and it was still bothering me a little but not nearly as severe as it had been. I woke up to my alarm at 7am and slept until 7:30..
I did alright today. I ended up falling asleep at 4:30pm and didn't wake up until 7pm. Brian gets home at 5pm and the girls were watching a movie. I was out cold. He fixed dinner for himself and the girls and they were playing legos quietly and Brian was doing some work on the laptop. I still feel really tired. About to go to bed.
Oh, here's my 12dpo Answer from yesterday. It was in the cabinet just screaming to be peed on LOL.. I will admit that I'm slightly obsessed with the pee sticks!

Katie's fieldtrip to Kuhlwein's Farm was a lot of fun so I will leave you with pictures!

Katie and I before the festivities began!

Katie's first encounter with the calf. It was licking her shirt in this picture LOL. It was very hard to take because the kids were swarming that calf! It was so soft!

Baby bunnies, so adorable!

The corn maze was awesome! Katie loved finding her way through it.

Finally after searching and searching, Katie picks her pumpkin, it had to be the biggest one there!

Loaded back onto the wagon with our new huge pumpkin! That thing weighed a ton!

Gotta have snack! A donut, animal crackers and some juice!

We finally had the calf all to ourselves! So sweet and soft! Katie's favorite part of the field trip!

Of course they had a bouncy, and Katie loves those! The kids had a blast! Katied ended up bouncing right out of the entrance to get in and slide down the little slide. She thought that was so funny and it was a great segway to leave!

Will this ever stop?
I woke up at 2am with the worst heartburn ever, it is now going on 3:30 am. I finally just had to get out of bed, I don't have a ton of stuff to take for heartburn and the extra strength tums just aren't cutting it. I know I'm going to be exhausted tomorrow and I can't take a nap while both girls are at school because Katie has her field trip to the Kuhlwein's Farm and I need to drive her there and be her shaparone. Which I'm excited about.
I have found it very hard to write on here and I'm not sure exactly why, but hopefully that will change. I have so much to say but when I sit down at the computer my mind goes blank.
I'm going to try rolaids next and see if I can get to sleep...
oh, took more tests! Today's test is still on the camera and it's downstairs and I don't feel like getting it, maybe later today..
But here is my digital from 11dpo!

*update* It is now almost 4:30am and I'm going to try to get some sleep... Hopefully when I lay down the heartburn doesn't come back!

Brianna's new addition!
Brianna had her 6 yr well check last week and it was determined that she needed to go to the eye doctor. So we took her in the next day and while her reading vision was still 20/15 her distance vision was 20/50, as well as dealing with an astigmatism (just like I started out in first grade). They figured out her prescription and then she got to pick out glasses. She whipped through about 20 pairs in mere seconds coming down to 2. She picked between snow white and jasmine disney princess glasses and her final decision was on jasmine. She loved the rose color, sparkles and the little jasmine charm on the side. She really likes them, though it is definitely going to be an adjustment to her wearing them all the time. She keeps asking why she has to wear them and that it is hard to wear them all the time, and she's only had them for a few hours now..

Playdate fun!
We decided to have some friends over today and it was a lot of fun!! Kendra, Tommie and Evie showed up around 10.. Ann-Morgan came at 10:30 (her girls Katie and Paige were already over. Veronica was watching them so Ann-Morgan could go get a spa treatment). Then Carrie, Logan and Lauren showed up. Tammy, Isaac, Sam and Lillian. Kelly, Grant and Addie. Last but not least, Kelly and Carson. The kids played outside on the swingset, in the sandbox and in the pool.
We ordered pizza from Pizza Pan. This place is awesome. You buy one pizza and get 2 free if you pick it up. So we got a family size, 16 slices and 2 free family sizes! It was 3 bucks per family! That's a deal!! You can't even do fast food for that for a family!
Only 3 pictures. They were doing such a great job eating their pizza. Isaac, Sam, Lillian, Lauren and Paige are missing from the pictures. They must have been inside.
They were doing such a great job eating quietly out there! It was definitely a good time!

Race for the Cure 2007
We did the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. We have been participating in the race since Brianna was 2. It is our family charity. We have always done the family fun 1 mile walk. Next year it is our goal to step it up to the 5k walk! Thankfully, it was a gorgeous day!

Brianna's 1st sleep-over party! (It could have been worse...)
Brianna walked into Hannah's house last Friday and was excited as can be. She had her princess ready-bed sleeping bag, her princess back pack filled with clothes, pjs, tooth brush, bed time song cd, sally and little blankie, her pillow and of course Hannah's b-day present. Veronica barely got a good-bye from her.
We had been in bed for about 15 minutes when the phone call came at 12:50+am.....
Brianna had thrown-up and needed to come home.
Veronica threw on pants and raced out the door and a drive that normally takes 15 minutes, took her 7... She walked in to see a bunch of girls sleeping in the living room soundly and Brianna cuddled up on Amelia's (Hannah's Mom) lap on the steps.. They had heard Brianna coughing and got her a drink. Then they heard those tell tale noises and rushed her to the bathroom. She had gotten some on her pjs and she was wearing her clothes.. Veronica thanked them profusely for taking care of Brianna and then loaded her into the van and headed home. She was fine, fell asleep. Got her inside and gave her some cough medicine and Benadryl then off to bed she went...
Our poor child has a very sensitive gag reflex.. If she coughs hard enough she will throw-up.. And we're sure with her stomache filled with pizza, cake and popcorn, it wasn't that hard...
She proclaimed the next day that the party had been awesome and she had so much fun. She would have made it through the night had she not had a coughing fit (poor girl)..
She can't wait until the next sleep over and has asked if she can have one for her birthday party..
Not sure if we're up for that one yet LOL...

And the sickness saga continues....
Brianna woke up yesterday morning around 4:30. She complained that her throat hurt so Veronica gave her some cloraseptic spray and sent her off to bed, she then told her that she had thrown up and hadn't made it to the toilet. By the time Veronica was done cleaning up puke it was 5:30 and she was exhausted...
Katie came into our room around 7:00 and immediately crawled in bed and went back to bed. That is not like her at all. She is usually wanting a sip of Veronica's drink, wanting to eat breakfast, wanting to go downstairs. When we did come downstairs she told Veronica that her ear hurt. Veronica asked her if it hurt really badly (it's a term she uses) and she shook her head yes. She wanted to watch Deep Blue Sea, and we've been telling her no for weeks now, but since she was so miserable, Veronica let her watch some of it. She immediately fell asleep.. Veronica knew something was up. She slept all morning and then we went to Abuela and Popi's house. She slept off and on for the rest of the day. She woke up for to take some motrin chewables, she chewed and then her eyes rolled back into her head and she slept more.. Veronica had set up an appt. with Dr. Rothermel and took Katie in at 3:15, where we were told that Katie's left ear was really badly infected. She gave Katie a script for amoxicillin.
Poor Katie, no wonder she was so miserable..
Brianna was fine for the rest of the day thankfully...

Brianna update
Brianna is feeling better today. She started getting un-interrupted sleep around 2am. She threw up this morning. Took a 3 hour nap. She had about an hour or two where she was in tears because her chest was hurting, but that has subsided. And she has had little to no fever today!!
It looks like the augmentin is doing it's job!

Brianna has pneumonia
Veronica took Brianna to the pediatrician today because she sounded just awful and we were having trouble keeping her fever down. Katie stayed with Abuela. Dr. Rothermel listened to her chest repeatedly, and couldn't really hear anything, but based on Brianna's history of a cough, she wanted to get her in for a chest x-ray. She also noticed that Brianna's thyroid seemed to be enlarged so she wanted blood drawn for that as well.
We took her to Children's Hospital Close to Home. She got in right away. Jason did her x-rays and he was so wonderful. Telling her everything he was going to do, having her touch everything. She got to wear a butterfly apron. She did really well listening to all the instructions as they took the x-rays. Then she got to pick a sticker when she was done. They told us they would read the x-rays and then depending on the results, would either call us back so we could talk to our ped. and they would call in a prescription, if nothing showed up we would just go home and wait to hear from the ped. We sat in a waiting room and then they called us back to draw her blood. That wasn't fun at all. Brianna sat on Veronica's lap and then they had one woman hold her arm, while the other woman took the blood. Brian was holding up the bandaid sheet and we were trying to keep Brianna engaged in picking out her favorite charachter bandaid. They had trouble getting the blood and Brianna was a mess after it was all over. She was was so strong and brave during, and then she just started crying. They let her pick a sticker when she was done and then just kept giving her more and more stickers, which she laughed about. She was starting to get really hot again. They called us in and said the doctor was on the phone for us. They told me that she had pnuemonia in her lower left lobe. They were calling in a prescription for her for Augmentin. That if her fever continued to bring her back in for a recheck on Friday. If the fever went down and continued to stay down to bring her back for a recheck in 2 weeks. They would also call tomorrow with the results of the blood work for the thyroid.
We went to pick up Katie, and then to Walgreens to pick up her perscription as well as some more Motrin, we were tapped out with how much she has had to have to keep the fevers down.
It's been a long day and she is just feeling awful. We're praying that she is able to get some much needed rest tonight.

Sickness and Potty Experiences
Brianna is sick. Had a fever of 102.6 last night and a pretty bad cough as well. We called Brianna out of school, Robin (the director) said that a lot of that was going around. She took a bit of a nap today, so you know that she isn't feeling well. My poor babe.
Katie is doing so much better with the whole potty experience. She is doing great with peeing on the potty and not having accidents. Still having trouble with pooping on the potty though, she mostly goes a little bit in her underwear and then tells us she has to go, gets on the potty and finishes, so she is almost there. We're trying to make it as positive as we can.

Kindergarten and Re-Potty Training
Brianna has been doing alright. She has had some listening/attitude issues lately, but we are trying to work through them. It's been kind of rough and draining. We have all of her paperwork for Cypress Christrian School sitting on our counter and we have to look at it and fill it out. We've 80% come to the decision to send her there. We think besides being in a Christian environment and having Jesus' love and principles being reinforced, our biggest desire for her to go there is that she wouldn't have to change schools if we moved within Central Ohio, like we will eventually do. That and even if we did still live here during her middle school years, we would not be sending her to the public middle or high school. Brianna is really excited about going into kindergarten regardless, though she would love to go to Cypress because her friend Conner goes there and her other friend Taylor will be going there. If Brianna and Taylor are in the same class it would be for the 3rd year in a row! She can't wait to go!
Katie is relearning the whole potty thing. She had been so traumatized by her constipation and incredibly hard poop that she refused to sit on the potty. So she pretty much retrained herself to do diapers. She is pretty good at going on the potty for pee, she's had a few accidents, but mostly from realizing hey, I don't have a diaper anymore, I can't just pee anywhere like I was doing. She has not pooped on the potty and has had quite a few poop accidents. We think she is still very fearful that it will hurt if she does go, but praying she gets past this soon. She is continuing to blow us away with what she says. She has some trouble with some sounds. Says pip instead of chip. Bop instead of stop. One of the funniest things she said to Veronica was, "I need my "pie-see" in regards to wanting her "privacy" while going potty LOL. And if you ask her what Veronica's name is, she says Mommy. Ask her what Veronica's other name is, Bronica. Too cute!

Show Night!
Monday night we had show night. Basically Brian was fooling around in the kitchen while emptying the dishwasher. He kept imitating Randy Savage, that wrestler guy who did the slim jim commercials. He kept talking like him and the girls were laughing hysterically. So we sat down on the couch and Brian continued to do it. He put on hats and used katie's flashlight as a mic. So then Katie wanted to do it, and Brianna followed suit.
Brianna funny....
Brianna says in a highly annoyed voice,"Mommy, Katie used a real comb on my dolls hair last night and now she looks like a ragamuffin"
(We guess Brianna does listen to Veronica. For the words "Brianna, come here, I need to do your hair before we go to xyz. You can't go out looking like a ragamuffin", said numerous times by Veronica, has seemed to rub off on her)
(Addition: Brianna was just brushing Veronica's hair and said, "Mommy, You was a ragamuffin, but now your hair is flat and you're not a ragamuffin anymore.")

Poor Dora
We had to put Dora to sleep, it wasn't impacted pouches, but serious internal injuries from her fall that only had manifested themselves now..
They let us have our time to say goodbye. Then took her away to give her anestetic..
They gave us a little clay heart with her name stamped on and her paw prints...
Then they were going to put her to sleep after we left.
The girls miss her.
She was a great member of our family.

Katie's night with Abuela and Popi!
Katie got to spend time with her Popi and Abuela. She took a 3 hour nap there. Then when she got up she played non stop with Popi and Abuela. When Veronica went to pick her up it was really neat to see her interacting with Popi. She runs up to him and he puts his hand out to her like he is going to grab her and she squeals in delight and runs away only to do it again. Then she was running and leaping onto Abuela who was doing leg lifts and putting her high in the air, though Katie was ever vigilant to see where Popi was LOL. She ran to both Popi and Abuela and told them I lub you Popi, lub you Beula before we left.
She is so incredibly sweet! They grow up so fast!

Daddy/Daughter Date Night!
Brianna and Brian went on a date night on Friday!
They ate dinner at Wendy's. Then went to the OSU hockey game! (Brian had gotten 4 free tickets from work). They met Jay and his son Isaac there. On the way Brianna had said she was a bit nervous because she wasn't sure if she had to stand or not and her legs were very tired. Once they were at the game she and Isaac were having a blast. Brian explained to her that being in the penalty box was like being in time out. So she asked if they got 5 minutes like her. He told her only 2 minutes. She said oh, like Katie! She got a soft pretzel and Isaac got popcorn. OSU tied the game. On the way home, there were two lanes of traffic, one was at a stand still and the other was moving. Brianna told Brian to get out of the car and tell the car ahead of them that he needed to move so they could get through LOL.
They went to Walmart and Brian bought a hockey game for his PSP. Then Brianna saw the flowers and said she wanted to get them for Veronica. When Katie and Veronica got home, they had them sit on the couch with their eyes closed and then Brianna put flowers in a vase in Veronica's hand. She had the biggest grin on her face and asked Veronica if she loved them and if she was surprised! They gave Katie one flower and she kept sniffing it and then wanted to pull the petals off LOL. Veronica told Brianna that they were beautiful and that she was very surprised. Brianna asked later if we could get her flowers next time. And then asked if we could keep the flowers in her room LOL.
